Conveyer bridge F60, March 2004

Short visit in the Lausitz mining area. In Senftenberg with the Lausitzring racetrack in reach there is a lot of lignite. Here you find the world's largest conveyor bridge for open-pit mining. And it is the world's largest movable machine too. More than 1500 ft long and 243 ft high. F60 is capable of removing a 60 m (180 ft) thick layer of waste on top of the lignite.
